More Magazines

All,

I just gave away the last of our "magazines" to an interested kid today at the field.  Time to re-stock so bring in your old magazines and catalogs and we can give them out to the kids.

Midair Collision

Do not know if anyone has seen this, but apparently to FAA is involved and there could be some actions from them further restricting model aircraft activities:

Item for sale

Guys, I received this message through RC Universe. He has a plane for sale. I have withheld his e-mail address until I get his OK to post it here: The following was sent to you through RC Universe: -------------------------------------------------

Heli's Heli's Heli's... I don't care what Fred says, heli's RULE

Guys, Tom Franklin stopped by the field today and for personal reasons he needs to unload several heli's.  He has 2 Raptor 30's, a Raptor 50 with a Hughes body and a gorgeous JR Vibe 90.  He has other stuff as well.  Please get ahold of Tom or Sam Richardson if interested.  I bought a heli from Tom several years back and was totally satisfied.  He tells it straight up and has really good equipment.

MEETING

All,

The quartely club meeting will be at the field on June 26th (last Sunday of the quarter) at 2:00 PM.  Please bring something to fly or race.

What Happened to all the trash talk?

Its mighty quiet on the wedsite.  Whats going on?  Ya'll to busy working on trucks?  They seem to require more tinkering that helicopters!

Vrrrroommmm!

A couple of the guys have fallen into a RC trap called RC trucks. So in the spirit of things we decided to put in an experimental RC truck track. Sam, Mark, Eric, Matt and Tyler have attempted to break it in with little luck and ended up breaking their trucks instead (Mark crashed). So if you have a land vehicle (Larger gas power are best for the track) come on out and give it a try, it seems lot a lot of fun!

ps. we are still trying to iron out how to safely integrate this activity with our primary focus, aircraft, so we will listen to any and all comments and suggestions.

R.I.P. "Lucky 13"

Mark fired up his aircraft and took to the sky

And yelled, "Today, a buzzard is going to die!"

But let's start from the beginning and I'll tell you why

Mark is known here as "Crazy Guy".

It turned out to be a warm, sunny day.

Some of us went to the field to play.

We had all flown alot.  The flying was great.

Noone could know "Lucky 13's" fate.

With loops, rolls, spins and an Emmelman turn

Several tanks of fuel we all did burn.
