All,
Good news. Gene's back surgery went fine and he is doing great. He missed the swap meet because of his back so he has lots of stuff for sale:
BATTERIES FOR RCV. AND XMIT, BOTH NIMH AND LIPO, SWITCHES, SERVOS, AND EXTENSIONS, HARDWARE, WHEELS, A LITTLE COVERING AND A PLANE OR TWO.
Call or email him for more info.

Hi all,
Just a reminder that the CVRCA annual meeting will be Saturday, December 5th at the Colonial Restaurant. The event will start at 6:00 (not 7:00 as previously suggested). The Colonial is located just south of the intersection of 29 and 24, roughly 5 miles south of Lynchburg. We hope to see you there.
Gary
Hi all,
I hope that your flying year has been enjoyable. We have several bits of business to tend to with the closing of the year. The time has come to select new board members and officers for the 2010 year. If you are interested in serving on the board or in one of the officers positions (president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, field marshal), now is the time to let you interest be known. Dean Shackelford is heading up the nomination committee. You can contact Dean via e-mail at XXXXXXXXXXXX.

On Saturday, October 24th, the Virginia AeroModelers are having our first Open House/Fun Fly in Bedford, VA. Most of the day will be open flying, all types of aircraft. For a couple hours we will have a relaxed version of a Fun Fly (most loops, climb & glide, etc.) then a round of open Combat.
Anyone & everyone are welcome (gotta have AMA to fly). $5 landing fee for pilots; free for spectators. There will be concessions available at the field. Camping is available but there are no hook ups.
Hi all,
It was confirmed today that
there will be a spot for our club to participate in Day In The Park, the big
event that the Junior League hosts at Miller Park each year. The date of the
event is September 12th. I don't have the exact time just yet. We will have
room to display some planes and helicopters, let kids hold radios, run a
simulator, and talk about RC. In the past, we have received a fair amount of
attention.
Hi all,
I hope this not finds you well and that at least some of your gear is not torn up. The board met this past week. Minutes will be posted on the club web site relatively soon. Three items of interest in the near term all have to do with club activities.
